PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a specified font as an image faithfully to specification. SOLUTION: This image processor when receiving print data which can be interpreted as pieces of PDL data (S503) decides which PDL interpreter can expand the font as an image according to the font specification in the received data (S504). The PDL interpreter capable of the expansion is actuated to expand the image (S506), which is sent out to a color copying machine (S509).
