A filtering device for an extrusion system for thermoplastic material has two carrier bodies 7 in a common housing 1, each of which carries a screen arrangement 6 which comprises a double filter and which the plastic material to be filtered is fed via feeding channels 2'. After passing the screen arrangement 6, the material goes into an outlet channel 10. Each carrier body 7 is displaceably mounted in the housing 1 and, as a result, can be brought into a flushing position, in which a flushing channel 11 provided in the carrier body 7 can be connected to the outlet channel 10.
