PURPOSE:To provide a wheel cover having a raised outer surface and having a metal-like exterior excellent in decoration, by forming an base coat layer on the outer surface of a resin base material, and by flame-coating metal onto the outer surface of the base coat layer so that the adhesion between the metal and the base material is enhanced. CONSTITUTION:A base coat layer 8 formed of double liquid type paint of an urethane group, is formed on the outer surface of a base material 7 made of resin such as nylon or the like, and is then coated on its outer surface with a metal layer 9 obtained by flame-coating metal so that a resin wheel cover is formed. Further, a top core layer 10 made of double liquid type clear paint of an urethane group is formed on the outer surface of the metal layer 9. The metal layer 9 is formed by a low temperature flame-coating method using aluminum having a low melting point. Thereby, it is possible to enhance the adhesion between the base material 7 and the metal layer and to provide a metal-like exterior excellent in decoration, having a raised outer surface while it is lightweight and made of resin. |
