<p>PURPOSE:To especially enhance the working efficiency of the assembly of parts for a door lock mechanism, by assembling a bracket to which parts for the door lock mechanism are previously and temporarily attached, to a skeleton disposed between inner and outer panels. CONSTITUTION:The door body 1 of an automobile side door is a sash door provided in its upper section with a sash 2, the lower section of the sash door being composed substantially of a skeleton 3 and inner and outer panels which are assembled with the skeleton being disposed between the panels. In this arrangement, after a door lock part 16, a key cylinder 17 and an outside handle 18 are temporarily attached to a bracket 90 for attaching parts for a door lock mechanism, the bracket 90 is attached to the rear end member 7 of the skeleton 3. Accordingly, the bracket 90 is composed of an inner plate section 90a forming a part of the inner wall section 7a of the rear end member 7, an outer plate member 90b facing an outer wall section 7b, and a connecting section 90c connecting the inner and outer plate sections 90a, 90b and facing the end wall section 7c.</p> |
