PURPOSE:To ensure excellent head matching properties and a favorable developed color image density, by incorporating N-epsilon-lauroyl-L-lysine in a thermal recording material provided with a thermal color forming layer comprising a leuco dye and a color developer on a base. CONSTITUTION:N-epsilon-Lauroyl-L-lysine is incorporated into a thermal color forming layer comprising a leuco dye and a color developer or the like, whereby a thermal recoding material having excellent head matching properties and a favorable image dneisty can be obtained. The amount of N-epsilon-lauroyl-L-lysine used is 0.05-10pts.wt., preferably 0.2-5pts.wt., per 1pts.wt. of the leuco dye. If this amount is less than 0.05pts.wt., the effect of improving the head matching properties is not sufficient, whereas if the amount exceeds 10pts.wt., troubles such as easy development of ground color will occur. |
