The subject of the invention is a device for a crutch. It is composed of an attachment means 7 which allows the said device 1 to be fixed to the crutch 5 of at least two lateral props which are slightly shorter than the crutch 5, so as to allow, by a means for spacing the props, the formation of the said props into a tripod on either side of the said crutch 5, so as to stabilise it in the upright position; means acting as return springs can return the props flat against the crutch 5.
