Punching device for the production of ceramic tiles

A punching device for the production of ceramic tiles from a clay profile consists of a punching die with punching knives, which is arranged on a punching base which moves back and forth and travels intermittently synchronously with the clay profile. The punching knives for punching the tiles are divided into 4 individual punching knives for punching out the individual lateral edges of the tiles, the punching knives being arranged separately from one another. 2 punching knives in each case are arranged in pairs and at the distance of the tile width from one another, 2 of the punching knives being arranged parallel to and the other 2 punching knives transversely to the travel direction of the clay profile, adjacent to one another as individual punching assemblies. During the synchronous travel of the punching base with the clay profile, a punching knife of one punching assembly with a punching knife of the other punching assembly punches 2 lateral edges of the tiles simultaneously, whereas the 2 other punching knives of the punching assembly then simultaneously punch the two other lateral edges of the tile.
