In the air-frame hair-drying helmet, an air frame is filled with the air stream produced by a motor, as a result of which a stable helmet shape, characterised by interconnected struts, is produced and three air-frame supports are formed which, seated on the shoulders and back, support the air-frame hair-drying helmet. The air-frame supports are adjustable in length in order to be able to produce the appropriate position of the helmet above the head. Subsequently, the air stream is guided automatically into the drying helmet located inside the air frame, through which drying helmet the air stream emerges onto the hair. After use, the air is removed from the air frame and the air-frame hair-drying helmet can be folded together. Air-frame hair-drying helmets can also be used as a substitute for suspended hair-drying helmets since these are mounted exchangeably on the commercially available, suspendable housings which contain the motor and heating element. In contrast to the suspended air-drying helmet which, in order to maintain the air cushion required for the suspension, can only be operated with a reduced air throughput and thus at a reduced temperature, the air throughput and temperature can be optimised in the air-frame hair-drying helmet, as a result of which the drying time is reduced, energy is saved, and a gentle drying operation is achieved.
