In the case of stackable tables with a table top and legs attached thereunder, the legs consist of closed hollow profiles or hollow open profiles. The internal dimensions of the leg profiles of a table correspond approximately to the external dimensions of the leg profiles of the respectively following table in the stack. Bores are made in the table top which are aligned with the legs or their cavities and via which the legs of one table can be inserted into the cavity of the legs of the respectively adjacent table in the stack. By virtue of this construction, for the same table height practically any table-top shapes and sizes and also leg shapes for the tables are possible.
