<p>A hinge assembly for supporting a storage-type door (30) in a cabinet (10) for rotation. The assembly including a cabinet plate (40) mounted to said cabinet having guide grooves (47, 49) at right angles and connected at one end. A door plate (42) mounted on said door interacts with the cabinet plate for rotary motion. The door plate having two guide members (55) on one edge, the guide members being aligned in one of the grooves in a first position and movable into the other of the grooves upon rotation of the door plate to a second position with respect to the cabinet plate. A pivot post (44) on one of the plates and a guide member (50) on the other of the plates having a track (51) which defines the path of motion for the pivot post on rotation of the door plate with respect to the cabinet plate.</p> |
