Electrostatic spray-drying method

Solid particles with grain sizes in a range of between 8 and 40 mu m are produced by means of an electrostatic spray-drying method. The method is based on dissolving the solid material in a slightly volatile solvent, the resulting solution being atomised under the action of a strong electric field at an electrode and the solid being deposited as a layer of dry powder on a counter-electrode. <IMAGE>
