PURPOSE:To shorten a copying work time and, to obtain a desired a both-face copy by selectively performing a copying operation only at the time of requiring the copying operation when single-face originals are copied to obtain both-face copies and not counting up the original number when the copying operation is unnecessary. CONSTITUTION:The control part 30 of a both-face copying device consists of an operation control part 35 by which an operator sets a copy condition, a copying operation control part 36 which controls the single-face copying operation and the both-face copying operation, a number discriminating part 37 which discriminates the number of originals as an odd or an even to select the copying operation, and a communication control part 38 which transmits information for the purpose of controlling the control part 29 of an ADF (automatic document feeder). When single-face originals are copied to obtain both- face copies, the operator can select whether the blank page generated in case of an odd number of originals is used as the last page or the first page of copies. Further, the copying work is simplified and the time required for the completion of both-face copying is considerably shortened. |
