PURPOSE:To obtain the construction of a ceramic auxiliary chamber in which required holding power including the turning stop is secured by pressing engaging a heat resisting seal ring which can restrict movement in the rotational direction to with the bottom surface of a ceramic chamber member in a metal sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic chamber member 8 is held in a metal sleeve 6 in a condition where movement in the axial direction is restricted through the first and the second packing 9 and 10, an air heat insulating layer (a) formed between those and resilient inorganic heat insulating granules 12. Therefore, reduction of bonding power between the ceramic chamber member 8 and the metal sleeve 6 by thermal deformation is absorbed by the granules 12 and holding power is secured. Also, movement in the rotational direction is prevented by a engagingly locking part 14a of a heat resisting seal ring 14 pressed into the bottom end in the metal sleeve 6. And as a head gasket 3 is close to the engagingly locking part 14a of the seal ring 14, it is not exposed to combustion gas and its durability is improved. |
