<p>A suspension mechanism for a bicycle includes a pair of generally oppositely directed support arms (3, 4). The front support arm (3) is connected to support the front fork (7) for the front wheel (8) of the bicycle, and the rear support arm (4) forms the fork for the rear wheel (9). The support arms are pivotably mounted, by means of a hub (20), about parallel axes with respect to a load bearing member (16) comprising a seat stalk to which a bicycle saddle is mounted.
