<p>PURPOSE:To put away a driving mechanism compactly by driving an exhaust valve through a governor mechanism provided inside a water pump provided at the tip end of a crank shaft when driving the exhaust valve which closes the upper edge of the exhaust port of a two-cycle engine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust valve 21 which closes at the low rotation of an engine is provided at the upper edge of the exhaust port 20 of a two-cycle engine. A governor shaft 8 is provided at the tip end of a crank shaft 5, and it rotates a governor mechanism 7 having balls 12 and also rotates the impeller 27 of a water cooling water pump 26 provided at the tip end of the shaft. This exhaust valve 21 is driven by the governor mechanism 7 through a holder 22, an adjust bolt 24, a lever 18 and a shaft lever 17. The governor mechanism can utilize the driving shaft of the water pump, and as the adjust bolt 24 is close to a cylinder 1, the driving mechanism does not project outwardly and becomes compact.</p> |
