COLOR IMAGE FORMING PROCESS.

This improved colour image process consists of processing an image-wise exposed colour paper (A) with a benzyl alcohol free colour developer in a time less than 2 minutes 30 seconds. (A) is at least one layer of silver halide emulsion on reflective substrate. The silver halide emulsion layer or a layer adjacent to it contains an anionic surfactant having a hydrophobic gp. a fluorine substd. aliphatic group of carbon number 4 - 18 and as hydrophilic gp. an -SO3M or -OSO3M gp., in which M represents H or a cation. The anionic surfactant has the followig general formula (Rfn(B)m-X where Rf is 4-18C fluorine substd. aliphatic gp. or a 4-18C fluorine substd. alkenyl gp., X is -SO3M or -OSO3M, B is a bivalent, trivalent or multivalent organic residual gp. n = 1 or 2, m = 0 or 1. The colour developer is an alkaline aq. soln. contg. mainly aromatic primary amine group colour developer. It is benzyl alcohol free.
