<p>An ink jet recording head has a liquid supply path communicating with a discharge port for discharging ink therethrough and energy generating means provided correspondingly to the liquid supply path and generating energy utilized to discharge the ink, charactrized in that the liquid supply path upstream of the energy generating means is filled with a filler, and an area in which the percentage of voids increases toward the upstream direction is provided in the upstream portion of the liquid supply path filled with the filler. In a preferred embodiment the filler comprises a plurality of glass balls having increasing diameters in the upstream direction. The use of such a filler increases the frequency response, droplet ejection speed and droplet diameter of the recording head.</p> |
