PURPOSE:To facilitate data accessing to a memory space and to enable the left-and-right inverted reading of data and the rotation of data by reading bit data in a row direction and that in a column direction from a memory arrays in matrix state, and modifying the order of the readings. CONSTITUTION:The storage part of an image memory 1 comprises the memory array 110 consisting of 4X4 pieces of memories (256X256 bits), an x-address output part 2 to output the x-directional addresses of said memory array 110, and a y-address output part 3 to output y-directional addresses, and outputs address signals Ax0-Ax3 and Ay0-Ay3 that respectively have eight bits. At a data conversion part 4, the bit arrangement for data bus at the time of accessing the memory array 110 can be inputted/outputted as it is or by modification. By thus changing the direction of a data string read out from the memory array, a data which is right-and-left inverted or a rotated data can be read out. |
