PURPOSE:To obtain a conductive polymer excellent in electric conductivity and applicable to an antistatic material for plastic film or a conductive material extensively used in the fields of electric and electronic industries by oxidatively polymerizing a compound of a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:A conductive polymer is produced by oxidatively polymerizing a compound of formula I [wherein Y is a group which can from a polymer by oxidation; X is a bonding group; R1 is a (substituted) alkylene; R2 is H, an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, acyl or carbamoyl or sulfonyl each of which may be substituted; a is 0 or 1; b is 1-4; m is 1-3; n is 2-30; when b>1, b groups of formula II may be the same or different from each other,; when m>10, m groups of formula III may be the same or different from each other; and when n>=3, n R1 groups may be the same or different from each other], e.g. a compound of formula IV (a mixture of an average number of n 9). This polymer can be applied to an antistatic material for plastic film or a conductive material extensively used in batteries, capacitors and electronic devices in the fields of electric and electronic industries. |
