PURPOSE:To achieve the improvement of a printing quality and the increase of a printing life, by incorporating fatty acid in ink. CONSTITUTION:100g of a composition of, for instance, 50% of dodecanoic acid, 10% of carbon black, 20% of spindle oil, and 20% of castor oil is dispersed together with 100g of glass beads for 1hr in a sand mill kept at 100 deg.C to prepare ink. This ink is coated on a polyester film of 10mum in thickness with a roll caster so that the coating weight becomes 10g/m<2> to prepare the ink ribbon for an impact printer. The fatty acid to be contained shall be dodecanoic acid or the like as saturated fatty acid, cis-9-hexadecenoic acid or the like as monoenically unsaturated fatty acid of unsaturated fatty acid, and 2- hydroxydecanoic acid or the like as special fatty acid. An ink ribbon is so constructed that an ink layer 2 is supported on a synthetic resin film 1. Printing is carried out by pressing the ink ribbon for impact printing (the synthetic resin film 1 and the ink layer 2) onto recording paper 6 with the wire 3 of the printer. |
