PURPOSE:To prevent a broken character and feed shift, by a method wherein the resistance value of the heat generating resistor at the boundary part of a split recording part and an unrecorded part is adjusted so as to be made lower than that of other heat generating part and the heat generating resistor is formed so that the position thereof is shifted in a main scanning direction in the quantity corresponding to feed shift quantity. CONSTITUTION:In the heat generating resistor parts 4a at total four places of both ends of image recording parts divided into two, that is, both ends of left and right recording parts or at two left and right places of at least the boundary part of a recording part and an unrecorded part, each of resistance values are adjusted so as to be made lower than an average resistance value in a range of several dots and the heat generating quantities at said parts are made large. As a result, a current is divided to flow to the second electrodes 3 on both sides through a heat generating resistor 4 by supplying a current to the first electrode 2 but the heat generating resistors parts 4a become definite temp. distribution and a broken character due to the lowering in the temp. in the vicinity of the center of a head is not generated. Further, the heat generating resistor 4 is formed so that the position thereof is shifted by the correction quantity (d) corresponding to feed shift quantity C in a main scanning direction. The feed shift in the main scanning direction is not also generated. |
