The heat-driven generator which cools and drives the computer may be a motor generator comprising a synchronous machine for A.C. and a unipolar machine for D.C., each with voltage and speed regulation. If the voltage on the D.C. part is increased above the adjusted level, less magnetising current is fed to the unipolar machine, so that the speed increases and more current is fed out reactively to the A.C. mains. On one end of the motor shaft is mounted a fan acting as a compressor in a cooling installation for the computer, and it pumps heat to a steam boiler from the computer and a steam condenser. On the other end of the shaft is fitted a steam turbine working with the steam boiler and condenser. - The vision equipment has a 26 inch picture panel on a terminal for facsimile, text processing, calculation, graphics or picture processing appts. and behind it at a distance of 3 - 4 metres a 54 inch screen with four-channel sound produced from a loudspeaker in each corner.
