PURPOSE:To make the punching easier aud to prevent the deterioration in discharge property of a cell, by ultrasonic-depositing an absorbing paper for separators to form a ring-shaped hydrophobic solidification inside the punching diameter, and molten-cutting it in a specific diameter. CONSTITUTION:By raising a receiving table 14 while an ultrasonic welder 12 is lowered in an operating condition, the table 14 contacts to the lower side of an absorbing paper 10 to prevent the fall of the paper, and the lower part of a cutter 12b of the ultrasonic welder 12 contacts to the upper side of the absorbing paper 10. Since the cutter 12b is only a little projected from the plain part 12a in this case, the plain part 12a also approaches to the upper side of the absorbing paper 10, and the opposing part of the absorbing paper 10 is solidified to be hydrophobic by the ultrasonic waves from the plain part 12a almost at the same time when the paper is molten-cut by the cutter 12b. When the ultrasonic welder 12 is further lowered, the periphery of the hydrophobic solid 10a is cut out as well as the part to contact to the plain part 12a is pressed to form a compressed hydrophobic solid 10a. |
