A shoe holder for displaying footwear consists of an L-shaped bracket which bears by its vertical leg against the display wall and protrudes by its base leg away from the wall. Furthermore, there is provided a downwardly curved hook which is mounted vertically adjustably and pivotably on the vertical leg in order to secure the shoe held by its heel on the base leg against tilting at the heel cap or the heel strap.
