Circuit arrangement for volume control of broadcast receivers and antitheft protection in motor vehicles

The patent application deals with a circuit arrangement for controlling the volume of broadcast receivers and for antitheft protection in motor vehicles by means of a variable resistor arranged in the loudspeaker line, interruption of circuits and triggering of an audible signal. According to the invention, an infrared transmitting and receiving unit is provided via which the volume is reduced, limited in time, by inserting resistors into the loudspeaker lines, and an interruption of the ignition of the motor vehicle and/or sounding an alarm (horn) is possible, for example, by switching-over and connecting. A significant advantage is that a circuit arrangement is available by means of which, in a simple and easy manner, both the volume of a broadcast receiver in a motor vehicle can be abruptly reduced by a considerable amount for a particular time and an antitheft protection of the motor vehicle is possible.
