Titanium catalyzed, one component RTV rubbers are produced by first reacting a mixture (A) of:- (i) silanol end-stopped polydiorganosiloxane (ii) hydrocarbyloxy- or substituted hydrocarbyl oxy-silane end-capping agent (iii) a Lewis or Lowry-Bronsted acid as end-capping catalyst, and optionally (iv) an amine co-catalyst; and mixing the product of (A) with:- (B) a titanium condensation catalyst. In Examples (iii) is acetic acid and (iv) is diethylamine.
