PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of a motor and to enhance the productivity of the motor by opposing two pairs of stators, disposing them at an electric angle displaced by pi/2 and exciting rotors at the phase different at pi/2 from the same surface. CONSTITUTION:Two pairs of stator cores 1, 2 and 3, 4 disposed at outsides of cylindrical rotor are excited by currents having different phases of pi/2 from each other. Thus, N-poles and S-poles are alternately distributed in space at the time point on the stator teeth of the cores 1, 2 and 3, 4. Further, the position of the maximum value of the magnetic flux passed in the radial direction of the rotor is rotated upon lapse of time along the periphery by displacing the electric angle of the pairs in the circumferential direction by pi/2. In other words, a rotary magnetic field is produced. Since the torque generated at the rotor can be increased by the rotary magnetic field, it is designed that a closed magnetic path is formed through the rotor, the eddy current loss is small in the stator core, magnetic saturation is small and the leakage magnetic flux is small. |
