Thiophosphinsäurechloride werden durch Umsetzung von Phosphinsäureanhydriden mit Thiophosphorylchlorid hergestellt. Die Umsetzungsprodukte sind hauptsächlich Zwischenprodukte, z.B. bei der Herstellung von Pflanzenschutzmitteln und Peptiden.
