PURPOSE:To process a work at a high speed with the same accuracy by changing either of the laser gaseous pressure of a laser oscillator or mixing ratio of laser gases according to the processing shape of the work and subjecting the work to laser beam processing. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam is formed of continuous waves if the processing shape of the work is straight or slightly curved in order to process the work at the highest average processing speed with the same accuracy. The laser beam is formed of pulse waves if the processing shape is an arc shape of a small diameter or sharp-angled shape. The laser gaseous pressure of the laser oscillator is so changed over as to attain the optimum value when the laser consists of the continuous waves in the case of forming the laser of the continuous waves and to attain the optimum value when the laser consists of the pulse waves in the case of forming the laser of the pulse waves. |
