Rotary engine with external combustion chamber

A shaft-supported piston rotates on an axis eccentric to the shaft rotation axis, and defines (with a main chamber) at least two variable vol. working chambers. Each working chamber communicates with air inlet (16) and outlet (17) ports in sequence as the piston rotates. - A combustion chamber communicates with the air outlet port and a gas inlet port (18) to receive compressed air from and deliver combustion gases to the main chamber. The piston and main chamber inner surface carry equi-spaced seals (10). The number of seals is equal to the number of working chambers.
