Compounds having the formula: wherein Z is an amine or a aliphatic heterocyclic group, R is a phenyl group or an aromatic heterocyclic group, R1 is hydrogen or a carboxy protecting group and B is N or CF. The compounds of the invention have antibacterial activity.
