A container for liquid medicaments, especially for eye drops, is to be designed in such a way that a sterile container content can be achieved over a lengthy period without the addition of chemical stabilizers. For this purpose it is provided, according to the invention, that the outflow recess (2) of the container (1) is sealed by a filter (3). In another embodiment, which may optionally be employed in addition, the inner wall surface or the surface of the filter is coated with an antibacterial, chemical compound attached to the wall, preferably with a quaternary ammonium compound. <IMAGE>
