<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently perform denitration and desulfurization, by contacting exhaust gas in which NH3 is injected with a catalyst having denitration/ desulfurization capacity to perform denitration and oxidation of SO2 and adding NH3 to the exhaust gas to convert SO3 to ammonium sulfate. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas containing NOx and SOx from a boiler 1 is led to a dry denitration apparatus 3 while NH3 is injected in the exhaust gas from an NH3 injection means 2 not only to remove NOx but also to oxidize SO2 to SO3. At this time, a TiO2-V2O5-FeSO4 or TiO2-V2O5-CuSO4 system is used as a catalyst. Thereafter, the exhaust gas is lowered in its temp. by a heat exchanger 4 and subsequently receives the injection of NH3 from the NH3 injection means 2 to form ammonium sulfate which is, in turn, removed along with dust in an electrostatic precipitator 5.</p> |
