Push-in units for prefabricated motor switching cabinets have an aperture at the front with command and display apparatuses. An unreasonably high cost must be borne for fitting and electrical connections. In order to reduce this cost, the command and display apparatuses (2 to 4) and the control lines are combined to form a compact control unit and are fitted onto the respective push-in unit as a structural unit. The control unit can be designed to fit any motor push-in unit and can be replaced using few manipulations in the event of a defect. <IMAGE>
