A worm gear type valve is provided to allow a manager to easily check open and close state thereof by showing the open and close state with an open and close indicator on a top of a gear box. A worm gear type valve includes a valve unit(110), a valve chamber(120), a worm gear, a worm, a valve handle(160), a gear box, an open and close indicator(200), and an actual open and close indicator(300). The valve unit is circular or spherical in shape. The valve chamber receives the valve unit and controls flux of fluid. The worm gear is shaft-coupled to the valve unit by the medium of a valve rotary shaft. The worm is engaged with the worm gear. The valve handle is shaft-coupled to the worm. The gear box contains the worm gear and the worm. The open and close indicator is exposed out of the top of the gear box and indicates open and close state. The actual flux indicator is formed on the top of the gear box and indicates actual open and close state according to the flux of the fluid.
