PURPOSE:To improve ununiformity of a current distribution and to prevent an decrease in a cell property, by forming a cooling plate to be interposed every a few pieces of cells in a cell-laminated member in such a manner that it has passages each having a diamond or spindle configuration with a shape of a passage cross-section having a pair of apices in a thickness direction of the cooling plate. CONSTITUTION:A cell-laminated member comprises unit cells and gas separation plates laminated alternately and cooling plates serving also as gas separation plates which are interposed every a few pieces of the cells. The cooling plate 10 comprises a pair of non-porous carbon plates, triangular grooves 11 defined on respective jointing surfaces of the plates being combined in jointing to form diamond-shaped gas passages 12. A positive electrode gas supply groove 3 and a negative electrode gas supply groove are defined on both the front and back surfaces of the cooling plate 10 and they serves also as gas separation plates. Each cell adjacent to the upper or lower side of the cooling plate 10 has a positive electrode P mounted on the positive electrode gas supply groove 3 and a negative electrode mounted on the negative electrode gas supply groove, respectively. The cooling plate 10 has the gas passages 12 each having a diamond or spindle configuration with a shape of a passage cross-section having a pair of apices in a thickness direction of the cooling plate. With the arrangement, ununiformity of a current distribution is improved and an decrease in a cell property is prevented. |
