The fixture (1) accommodates retention components (14,15,16) including a shaft (14) in parallel with electronic capsules (5) arranged in a row on the fixture with covers (6). Arms (15) are attached to the shaft. A temp.-dependent spiral spring (16), fastened in the fixture can adopt two predetermined conditions one at temps. below a threshold value, e.g. 100 deg. C., and the other at temps. exceeding the threshold value. The first condition of the spring corresponds to the retention components in the rest position, whilst in the other they are in the active position. In the rest position, the capsules and covers are fitted. Then the equipment is placed in a soldering furnace. When the threshold temp. is reached at which the retention components move to the active position, the spring (16) widens, causing the shaft to rotate (14) so that the arms (15) are pressed against the capsule cover (6) with a force required for the soldering operation. Pressure is maintained throughout the whole soldering procedure until the fixture is removed from the furnace and the spring temp. drops below the threshold level. The retention components can then be removed. |
