<p>PURPOSE:To aim at abatement in transfer power, by installing a driving device, which shifts a high-speed cam to a driving position where a valve member is driven by rotation of the high-speed cam, and a nondriving position, where the valve member is not driven, in the axial direction, in a camshaft. CONSTITUTION:A low-speed cam 3 is locked to a camshaft 2 to be synchronously rotated with an engine, while a high-speed cam 5 having a cam profile larger than the low-speed cam 3 is installed there free of slide motion in the axial direction but relatively unrotated. And, this high-speed cam 4 makes plural pieces of plungers 16 shift to the right by what these plungers press the side of a cam 4 at the time of pressure oil being taken in an oil chamber 15 from the oil passage 21 formed in a central part of the camshaft 1, making them possible to be engaged with a tappet 6 of a valve 5. And, when the pressure oil is in the oil passage, engagement of the cam 4 with the tappet 6 is made releasable by plural pieces of springs 20 via a plunger 18.</p> |
