The title is "Refuse bin opener with pedal actuation", my Patent No. 3313309.3. This patent is to be used for rectangular plastic bins of 240 litres capacity. Since, however, there are also cylindrical sheet metal bins of about 150 litres capacity, a special lever mechanism has been developed to enable these bins, too, to be designed in a user-friendly manner. This lever mechanism can be mounted without great difficulty on the bin, which is concreted in by its feet. The junction plate with the lever arms is screwed with only 2 existing screws between the concreted-in foot and the sheet metal bin. The lid-lifter is only pushed in between the lid and lid hinge and lid handle and bends around a lug. Hence also immediately protected against theft. When the foot pedal is actuated, the lid is now lifted via a lever arm with an articulated and angled iron T-bar which is articulated on the lid-lifter. Closing takes place as a result of its intrinsic weight.
