PURPOSE:To enhance triboelectrifiability characteristics, low temperature fixability, and offset resistance of a toner by forming a developer composed of a color toner comprising a specified polyester binder and a carrier having a coating layer made of a fluorine-containing resin. CONSTITUTION:The developer is composed of the color toner and a carrier having the coating layer made of the fluororesin, such as fluorinated acrylic polymer. The color toner comprises a chromatic colorant and the binder made of the polyester obtained by polycondensation of an acid component and a diol component represented by the formula shown on the right in which R is ethylene or propylene, and each of x and y is an integer. Said acid component is a mixture of an aliphatic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or its anhydride, and an aliphatic unsaturated >=3-carboxylic acid or its anhydride in a molar ratio of (100-5):5-(100-30):30. The toner contains a releasing agent in an amount of 1-10wt% of the binder. |
