PURPOSE:To easily adjust the variance among components by using one light source and emitting light, separating transmitted light from paper, etc., spectrally by a prism and outputting the difference signal based upon signals corresponding to the quantities of light, and discriminating a color based on them. CONSTITUTION:When the light is emitted by a yellow light source 15 to paper 11, etc., on a conveyance path 13, the transmitted light is refracted and separated spectrally by the prism 21 to output signals fA(t) and signal fB(t) corresponding to the quantities of light from a 1st light receiving part 23 and a 2nd light receiving part 25, and a difference signal output part 29 outputs the difference signal fA(t)-fB(t) to a chrominance signal amplification part 31. In such case, reference chrominance signals are adjusted to constant chrominance signals by an angle adjusting screw part 27 to adjust the variance at every manufacture log of the yellow light source 15, a lens 19, the prism 21, the 1st light receiving part 23, the 2nd light receiving part 25, and the difference signal output part 29. |
