<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a semisolid ink for filmless thermal transfer recording, which is excellent in the response to a recording signal and gives a clear image without causing tailing or fogging, by adjusting a thermal conductivity of the semisolid ink to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:A semisolid ink having a thermal conductivity of 1.5/10<4>[cal/ cm.sec. deg.C] or above at 25 deg.C for use in a filmless thermal transfer recording method in which the semisolid ink is molten by heating to allow it to flow out through a passage hole and the flowed-out ink is transferred to a recording medium to carry out recording. When the thermal conductivity is lower than the above-defined value, heat given from a heating element is insufficiently transmitted to the ink in and around the passage hole in the thermal transfer recording so that the ink can not be sufficiently softened which obstructs recording.</p> |
