The equipment secures a load either flush with the water surface or near the bottom without touching it, using a pendulum ballast weight and a ballast tank partly filled with water and partly with air. The tank pivots about a horizontal axis and is stabilised by a ballast weight. The tank (6) is rigid and hermetically sealed, its interior being connected to two flexible hoses (8,9) on the opposite side to the ballast weight (7). Inside the tank, one of the hoses is extended by a rigid pipe (10) extending nearly all the way across it. The hose ends are at water level. |
