发明名称 Reinforced concrete building - has additional reinforcing plates embedded in concrete to resist shear forces at corners
摘要 A building constructed from reinforced concrete has a basement (1) with pillars (5) which support the ground floor (3). The ground floor (3) supports walls (13) which in turn support the first floor. High shear forces occur at the junction points of floors and walls and also at the corners of the frames for the doors and windows (7,10). To resist these shear forces and so reduce the shear stress in the concrete, reinforcing plates (17) are fitted in all areas of high stress. These plates are placed in the middle of the walls and are welded to adjoining steel reinforcing beams. The plates are provided with rows of holes to bind them to the concrete. USE - Reinforced concrete structures.
