PURPOSE:To have smooth and sure parts assembly operation by encapsulating a pressure-variable medium in a vessel of resilient material which is mounted between an upper and a lower face plate, adjusting the pressure externally by hand or automatically, pressing guide and face plates, and providing variability to the rigidity and followup characteristic of the parts grasping part. CONSTITUTION:A medium with comparatively low pressure is encapsulated in a vessel 6 of resilient material. At this time, the vessel 6 expands, and a face plate 8 presses the inner end-face of a guide 5 to increase the followup characteristic of this device concerned A, which allows smooth correction of attitude and misalignment of the piece of parts 11 to be assembled. The medium is pressurized and the vessel 6 is further expanded. At this time, the face plate 8 presses the guide 5 still stronger, and the outside of the vessel 6 presses the inner cylindrical surface of the guide 5 to increase the rigidity of the device A, and thus it is possible to locate while the piece of parts 11 is gripped by chuck 9. Thus fine assembly operation is made practicable, and substitution of the device A is no more necessary even though items are changed. |
