PURPOSE:To cool an engine through vaporization function of fuel and prevent knocking and further improve durability of the engine by directly injecting fuel at high temperature parts in a combustion chamber by means of an injector which operates at the set temperture of the engine. CONSTITUTION:Engine temperature of an electronic control type fuel injector 2 is detected by means of a temperature sensor 30. In case this detected value does not attain a set value of the set engine temperature, only an air intake manifold injector 22, supplying fuel into an air intake passage 6, is placed under operation control by a control unit 4. Then, in case the engine temperature is raised through an engine drive and attains the set temperature, low pressure fuel supply by the injector 22 is stopped by means of the control unit 4, and the first, the second injectors 26-1, 26-2 are changed over to operation. Through operating these injectors 26-1, 26-2, direct injection is performed to the high temperature parts of a combustion chamber 12. This expedites atomization and vaporization of fuel, and the high temperature parts in the combustion chamber 12 are cooled due to vaporization function of absorbing the heat at the time of vaporization of fuel. |
