The compounds correspond to the formula: <IMAGE> in which A represents hydrogen or the two symbols A mean a direct bond between the sulphur atoms; X represents hydrogen, Ala-Gly, Gly-Gly, Ala-D-Ala, Gly-Gly-Gly, acetyl or benzoyl; X1 represents His or Arg; X2 represents His, Glu or Asp; X3 represents Trp, D-Trp or 6-F-D-Trp; and X4 represents Cys or D-Cys; their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are also described. The compounds have the property of inhibiting the release of certain hormones. |
