PURPOSE:To be able to carry out simply the maintenance and inspection of an air conditioner by a method wherein the conditioner and a main duct are separated by removing an auxiliary duct, and after the front cover of the conditioner is removed, the maintenance and inspection of a refrigerator installed at the bottom plate are carried out. CONSTITUTION:Air sucked in from a suction grille 14 is heat-exchanged by s heat exchanger and guided into the primary duct 41. A greater part of the air quantity is send out from the duct 41 to a room 6 and a small air quantity is send out from the secondary duct 42 into another room 7. At the time of maintenance and inspection, the front cover 29 of an air conditioner 1 and the metal fittings 31 of an auxiliary duct 4 are removed and then the duct 4 is taken out backward to separate a main duct 5 and the conditioner 1. After the front cover 29 is removed and the bottom plate is pulled out backward, the maintenance and inspection of an apparatus installed on the bottom plate are carried out. Like this, after the duct 4 is romoved, the maintenance and inspection of the conditioner are can be carried out even though the duct 5 is not removed. |
