发明名称 ROLLING METHOD FOR SHAPE HAVING FLANGE
摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a rolling mill construction by providing respectively a pair of cross helical rolls above and below, rotationally driving one pair of the cross helical rolls and non-driving the other. CONSTITUTION:The cross helical rolls 11, 12 which are respectively paired above and below and are laterally spaced from each other are disposed to form a roll cross angle alpha with respect to the horizontal plane and a roll inclination angle beta with respect to the perpendicular projection plane to the axial center S of the respective rolls. The lower cross helical rolls 12 are rotationally driven by a driving device and the upper rolls 11 are constituted so as not to be driven. The roll cross angle alpha and roll inclination angle beta in such mechanism are changeable as desired so that the shape of a material 1 to be rolled is easily controllable by the combination of the angles alpha, beta. Since the rolls 11 are non-driven, the peripheral speeds of the upper and lower rolls 11, 12 are different and the directions where frictional force acts is asymmetrical. The rolling torque is, therefore, diminished and the size of the rolling mill is reduced.
