Gear mechanism for a sheet-fed rotary printing machine

A gear mechanism for the non-uniform driving of a sheet-feeding drum of a sheet-fed rotary printing machine consists of a gearwheel and a lantern gear which engages in the latter. The gearwheel has a number of teeth which have differing tooth thicknesses, tooth heights, pitch angles and tooth root radii. The lantern gear is designed in such a way that at least two rollers are in constant contact with the gearwheel. In the sheet transfer region, the gearwheel has a device for adjusting play.
